I bet you thought I was done with the Disney posts. Nope, not this procrastinator! I’ve still got a few up my sleeve, and yes, it’s 2 months after the fact That’s how I roll!
After a very rainy day, we were fortunate to have sunny and warm weather the next day while we toured the Animal Kingdom. Christmas at the Animal Kingdom complete with an animal themed tree! I think Jude’s smile is super adorable in this pic. He’s at an age where he’s starting to pose for pictures and I love it.
We used our FastPass to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris once we got there. It was a fun way to see animals up close while feeling you were on a real safari. The FastPass was a must for this ride. Super packed! The Tree of Life is the park’s central landmark. It has animals carved into the sides of the trunk- very cool! A highlight to our visit was Finding Nemo- The Musical. It was such a well done show with amazing puppetry and fun songs all against a beautiful backdrop. The quality was on par with a Broadway musical (in my opinion). We used our FastPasses for early entry into the show and were able to score seats at the very front next to the stage. Claire absolutely loved the music and danced throughout the program. Then we took a stroll down the animal exhibits and were able to see the baby gorilla. Here he’s being cradled in one hand by his mommy. Isn’t he cute?! We took a nap after lunch and returned in time for the Festival of the Lion King Show. It was another well done show with great singing, acrobatics, animatronics, fire dancing- you name it, it was there Anyway, this was a great low key day for us and we left the park not too terribly tired and in good spirits. Always a win! I have one more Disney post to get to, so we’ll see how long that takes me. You know, procrastination is one of my best qualities!
