It’s winter and most of the country is enjoying (or not) the cooler weather. The weather here has been mostly nice, but the craziness of the last few weeks has me daydreaming of vacationing somewhere warm and far away from the chaos. Last July we were able to enjoy a wonderful week with Luke’s extended family in Destin, FL. It was so much fun! I’m not just saying this- the week with our family here was really something special. We rented a house a block from the beach (see pics here) and made some great lasting memories. If you ever want to rent a house in Destin, check out Casa Blue!
Early one evening we were able to take pictures at the beach and we lucked out with beautiful weather and light. No one was crying, nothing was forced (I sprung the idea on the family just a few days prior), and the pictures are some of my favorite pictures ever. I loved the pics so much that I slapped it on my FB page, my Christmas cards, my blog, my phone, it’s tattooed on my right butt cheek… I mean everything! When I look at the pictures I get so warm and fuzzy inside because it captured a very happy time in our life (and I just love the colors of the sea). Anyway, here are a few pics of my immediate family from that day:
Yeah, I set my baby down in the sand. Yeah, I thought it was a good idea. Yeah, I learned my lesson Attempting a yoga bridge pose! The love of my life Ah, vacation… “Calgon take me away!” No, but seriously, life is good these days. I just want to roll around in the white sand. Hehehe.
