Last month Luke’s siblings, Adam and Katie, visited the Bay Area for business and pleasure. Saturday we had a late brunch at the Ferry Buildling before heading out to our first game at Giants Stadium. The Cardinals were in town, so naturally we HAD to go! We arrived early, so Jude tried his hand at T-ball for the first time. Oh my goodness. It was the cutest thing! We’ve been bad baseball parents and haven’t done a lot of batting practice with Jude, but man if that little dude didn’t hit that ball on the first swing. A foul ball, but he hit the ball on the first pitch and was instructed by the pitcher to run the bases. I was so proud of him, and never mind that he took a wrong turn with running the bags My heart was bursting! No pictures, but Jude even hit up the slides. Kayakers starting to congregate behind the stadium. It was such a nice day and by the middle of the game when Jude and I went exploring more kayakers and boaters were out tailgating. What a way to tailgate! Of course SF would have a trolley for people to sit and watch the game in. Jude loved playing in here with the other kids. Claire watching the Cardinals win!
Luke and I went out with Adam, Katie and Richard to Mela Tandoori Kitchen (which has to be my absolute favorite place to eat right now) after we put the kids to sleep. My sister was so gracious to watch the kids that night for Indian food. And, so with that, Luke and I went out with other adults without the kids for the first time in who knows how long. Thank you, Stephanie! No pictures of the rest of the night, but I fought off sleepiness for a night of Indian food and ice cream at Ghiradelli Square afterwards. We walked back home and the night was pleasant. Such fun times with family!
